Hi, I'm Alice! I'm 5 years old, and I want to leave this world better than I found it.
I really care about Mother Earth - she's hurting and I want to help.
And I want to help other kids who are struggling. The first one I want to help is Austin - he has muscular dystrophy, and we need to raise money to help get him gene therapy before he gets too weak.
I'm an artist, and I'm decorating 50 tote bags with my friends to help raise money for gene therapy for rare diseases like Austin's!
We'll find more children to help, and ways to heal the earth, so watch this space!
be kind
Our Mission
"Do your little bit of good where you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.” ~ Desmond Tutu
Austin's story
Austin is turning 2 in August. He has congenital muscular dystrophy (CMD) which means he will get weaker as he grows. He can’t lift his head up or crawl, but he's really smart and happy, and he's doing his best to move as much as he can even though he is getting weaker.
I'm raising money for the L-CMD Research Foundation (a registered charity) to make the treatment to help Austin. It's called gene therapy and it will help heal his muscles! It will also help other children like him around the world.
All the money we raise will go to the scientists who are helping to make this treatment. There are millions of people with rare diseases around the world (30 million in the US alone), but right now it's hard to use gene therapy to help them. Our donations will help scientists figure out how to do it better.
The goal is $2 million - they're almost half way there already. We can do this!
Donations & Tote Bags
The tote bags are 100% organic cotton, and can be used for groceries, the beach, books and many other things! Each one is tie-dyed, painted & printed with love.
We want to raise as much as we can for gene therapy for rare diseases. Here's how you can help:
1) Click on DONATE to make a tax-deductible donation to the L-CMD Research Foundation (a registered charity). Your donations will be tracked against the "Alice & friends" team so we can measure our impact.
2) If you'd like a tote bag, fill in your details below. The first 50 people will receive one.
Thanks for helping Austin and making the world a better place :)
